FAQ's

See our frequently asked questions below to get answers to common concerns.

What are Rockin'Feet?
Rockin'Feet “Massaging Liquid Orthotic” is a product that acts as both a foot orthotic and a liquid massaging insole. Rockin'Feet provides total foot support, comfort through excellent cushioning, and a massage that significantly improves circulation to the lower extremities.

The human foot, due to its shape and construction, is best suited to walk or stand on soft grassy ground or soft sandy soil barefooted.

Rockin'Feet through its innovative, intelligent patent pending design, combines the best of all worlds--total support, cushioning and massage—which exactly simulates the foot’s natural environment in your shoe.

ROCKIN’FEET SIMULATE THE FOOT’S NATURAL ENVIRONMENT TO PROVIDE EQUAL WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION, CUSHIONING—PLUS IMPROVED CIRCULATION TO THE LOWER EXTREMITIES.

HOW? Walking barefoot on forgiving surfaces allows the entire foot to carry the body’s weight by filling in the arch. Softer, forgiving surfaces offer an ever-changing surface to walk on so the same parts of the foot are not repeatedly pounded, causing pain and injury.  Rockin'Feet™ are designed specifically to duplicate these surfaces in all shoes.

The foot’s arch normally is curved upwards, so the lowest parts of the foot are the ball and the heel. The ball of the foot and the heel make up approximately 40% of the foot’s bottom surface. Unless we wear something to support all the foot, we use only 40% of our feet’s surface to carry 100% of our body weight! Think about it, when your feet hurt, where do they hurt—the ball and the heel?  Rockin'Feet redistributes the body’s weight over 100% of the foot’s surface, relieving pain and pressure on the ball and the heel.

How Do I Get The Longest Life Out of My Insoles?
For longest life, hand or machine-wash at least BI-WEEKLY with soap and water - no bleach. Air-dry only (DO NOT USE DRYER). Remove all foreign material (grit, sand, dirt, etc.) from your shoes before inserting the insoles. Foreign material in your shoes may result in premature failure.

How Do They Work?
GREAT!!! The principle is simple. As pressure is put on the liquid insole by the lowest parts of the foot, the ball and the heel, the liquid glycerin in those areas are forced to the part of the foot where there is no pressure, usually the arch area or the highest parts of the foot.

The liquid will continue to fill in the unsupported parts of the foot until all parts of the foot are supported equally. Then, the insole internal pressure equalizes and the entire foot is being used to support the body’s weight—just like walking barefoot on soft grassy ground or a sandy beach!

Additionally, when the pressure inside the insole equalizes, the foot is floated off the shoe very slightly providing excellent cushioning without making shoes tight.

How are Rockin'Feet’s different from other insoles such as Dr. Schools, Spenco, Good Feet, and others?

Rockin'Feet advanced patent pending design adjusts to everyone’s feet, providing massage, cushion and custom arch support. This design assures superior functionality, comfort, durability, and lower cost.

Why Liquid Instead of Gel?
Most common over-the-counter insoles/orthotics are made of silicone rubber (now called “gel” by some), hard plastic or foam rubber—or a combination of the three. The foot must adjust to the shape of these insoles/orthotics. Additionally, the constant pressure against the foot from other rigid types of arch supports can impede circulation. Liquid, on the other hand will conform to the shape of the entire foot, massage the foot and therefore, are much more comfortable and effective.

What is the Liquid?
Rockin'Feet are filled with food grade glycerin, which is non-toxic and biodegradable. It’s most commonly used in facial make-up as a skin softener, food additive, and non-toxic antifreeze. Most other liquid insoles use mineral oil.

How Long Do Rockin'Feet Last?
Rockin'Feet normally last 2-3 years of DAILY use with proper care.

Can Rockin'Feet Insoles Be Washed?
Absolutely! We recommend hand or machine washing a minimum of every two weeks for longest life. They can be washed safely in warm to cold water on a normal cycle. Do not use bleach and allow them to air dry only. For longer life also reverse them after washing—put the right in the left shoe and the left in the right shoe—they are reversible!

Will Rockin'Feet Make My Feet Sweat?
NO! In fact, all models of Rockin'Feet except the “DRESS” models have a highly absorbent, extremely comfortable cloth covering on each side. Rockin'Feet™ wick moisture away from the feet to help keep them dry and comfortable. They have also been treated with an anti-microbial to help eliminate odor and mildew.

As a side note, liquid massaging insoles have been shown to improve circulation to the feet and through the legs by over 50%. Improved circulation will initially make the feet feel warmer. However, your body quickly adjusts and the feeling dissipates.

Are Rockin'Feet Reversible?
YES! Rockin'Feet were designed from the ground up to be truly reversible which not only allows the wearer to choose which color to match their shoes, in the case of open shoe wearers but also has two other advantages. . .

Rockin'Feet has two-way massage control. For more massage wear the dimpled side up. For slightly less massage wear the smooth/logo side up. Both sides are very comfortable; it depends on the wearer’s preference.

Lastly, wearing the Rockin'Feet insoles on both sides alternately (change sides when washing), significantly increases the service life.

How Do I Wear Rockin'Feet in Sandals?
ROCKIN’FEET were specifically designed to be worn in all shoes—including thong and regular sandals.

For Thong Sandals: Using sharp scissors, follow the thong cutout guide on the toe of the insole. Be careful to stay inside the guidelines and not cut into the liquid bladder of the insole. Decide which side of the insole best matches the sandal you’re wearing and then slip the toe of the insole onto the thong portion of the sandal. Position the insole to coincide to where your foot normally is on the sandal. Lastly, use two-sided tape, hobby glue dots, or anything similar to keep the heel of the insole in place on the heel of the thong sandal.  Although your Rockin'Feet have been cut for thong sandals, they can still be transferred from shoe to shoe.

For open toed/open heeled sandals, it’s not necessary to cut for the thong sandal. Decide which side of the Rockin'Feet best match your sandal and use two-sided tape, hobby glue dots, or other attaching device on the ends of the insole where the shoe is open.

Is It Possible To Overwear The Insoles?
Yes, you should exercise caution and not overdo it during initial wear. If your feet are already sensitive or tender, we recommend you gradually acclimate to the arch support over a 2-week period to prevent soreness. Wear in two-hour increments, gradually increasing wear time until your insoles feel natural. The insoles have a therapeutic effect through massage and arch support. At first, your feet may feel warmer as the blood circulation increases. This soon dissipates.
